How is a Featherwood Pendulum & Dowsing rod made?

Each Pendulum & Dowsing rod is hand turned in Douglas’s studio and designed from a single piece of wood and balanced to increase the fluidity and sensitivity of movement with the focus on the uniqueness of the growth patterns within, to heighten the beauty and energy of each unique one-of-a-kind piece. May be a blend of woods when noted. Wood is eco-aware, sustainable or re-purposed from; American Birch, Cherry, Walnut, Maple & Oak. Exotic Ebony, Lyptus, Genuine & Brazilian Mahogany. Other wood types when made available. Pendulum is strung from lengths of 3 inches up to 7 inches from either: silver, gold, bronze, copper base metals or from hand rolled silk, natural rubber, or waxed cotton string. Unless otherwise stated. Dowsing rods are made from high grade bass and wood is meticulously hand polished with 7 coats of naturally rejuvenating, nourishing cream made from a blend of beeswax, carnauba wax and vegetable derived food safe ingredients.
